Happy Holidays – A Letter from Our Co-Founders

Dear Readers, 

As we approach the holiday season, we wanted to take the time to reflect on this last year. If 2020 was the year that no one saw coming, 2021 has been the year of rethinking where we are going. From companies to individuals, this has trickled down into rethinking our connection to our work, our homes, our careers and our lives. 

At Sounding Board, we’ve seen that the companies that have thrived have been the ones that adapted early and often. And the best ones have reimagined what it means to truly lead through these times – and invested behind it. The past year we have seen an unprecedentedly rapid change in our industry, and a fundamental shift in how organizations invest in the long term development of their leaders. 

We founded Sounding Board with the vision to expand access to leadership coaching by delivering executive level coaching earlier in a leader’s career when they need it most. In 2021 Sounding Board moved from Series A to Series B; the rapid growth is a testament to the shift we’re seeing in companies embracing coaching as the future of talent development and employee engagement. We’ve expanded our global network of world-class coaches, expanded our solution with our enterprise Coaching Management System, tripled our staff YoY and have serviced incredible hyper-growth and enterprise level clients. 

This next year we will continue the development of our Coaching Management Platform, accelerate our investment in data, reporting & science on the product & technology side, and build towards our vision of becoming the highest quality coaching platform for the world’s largest enterprises.

None of this would be possible without the support from our customers, coaches, investors, advisors, or our Sounding Board team. Thank you for your invaluable support and trust. Here’s to an exciting 2022!
